A mans health is something that varies depending on the age of the man. Teenage boys do not think about their health much, they are only worried about not having pimples, and girls liking them. Most of their thoughts are probably sexual, but they are not concerned about erectile dysfunction. They are not thinking about hair loss just yet either. As a man ages, his body makes changes, some for the good, some not so good. Men come in all shapes and sizes, some are athletic, and like physical fitness, some are brainy, and can spend all day sitting in front of a computer, some like to drink, some like to smoke, some cannot stand doing either, but most men at any age think about sex. At what age do men start going downhill physically and mentally, and start believing in their own mortality, and start losing their hair, and start being exhausted, and start gaining weight around the middle, and start losing interest in sex. No two men are the same, as these things happen at different times in a mans life, depending on many factors, but usually they are thought to be the result of getting older. Low testosterone could be the link to serious medical conditions in men, such as heart disease, diabetes, depression, and osteoporosis. Since most men do not like going to doctors, or having tests run, they do not know whether they have low testosterone levels, so they believe they are tired because it is part of aging, or they are overworked, the low libido is just part of marriage, gaining weight is from lack of exercise, and the mood swings is because of boredom with their life. How many have even considered that the problem could be low testosterone levels? When a woman has issues, that she has a hormone problem is always high on the list. Men have been taught throughout their lives, in sports, or the military, to gut it out.How many men over 40 have been tested for testosterone levels? How many men even know the symptoms of low testosterone? Men are given high blood pressure medicine, and drugs to lower cholesterol, and are told to get checkups for prostate problems, but how many are told they need to get their testosterone levels checked. One of the problems with Western medicine is that doctors usually wait until the patient has a full blown problem before trying to deal with it. Maybe men would have less problems as they age, if they were aware of things common to all men. Alternative health is more into prevention, before the need of a cure, and this approach could keep a lot of men from experiencing erectile dysfunction, prostate problems, depressed moods, and whatever else.
